We have both spent too long living under the strains of near constant anxiety, fear, worry, comparison, concern of being poorly regarded by others and feeling disconnected.
We know it does not have to be this way. There is an innate trust and contentment when we realise that life is actually working for us, all we have to do is tune in and trust.
The Balanced Man helps men find this contentment and satisfaction, and unleash their true power into the world.
ZAND…
…I'm a training transpersonal psychology coach with a decade in men’s work and personal development. My journey has been shaped by early loss, frontline addiction struggles, 15 years living around Africa, and having good jobs but never being satisfied.
Despite having everything I thought I should — good jobs, a beautiful family, and years abroad — I was often unhappy, trapped in subtle addictions. In 2017 somebody asked me what makes me smile and at that moment I realised nothing was making me smile; I literally couldn’t answer. That moment sparked my journey to reconnect with myself and embrace the present.
Nature is my greatest teacher, and I believe joy in the moment attracts the right path. I love helping others find the same.
CHRISTIAN…
…I am a Kundalini Yoga teacher, breathwork instructor and certified in Nonviolent Communication, as well as a men’s coach and facilitator, passionate about helping men unlock their true potential and embrace authentic, positive masculinity. With a unique blend of depth, fun, and lightness, I create spaces where transformation feels empowering and engaging.
I live with my partner and two little daughters in the south of Germany. Just left Berlin after twelve years.
WHY IS THIS RETREAT IMPORTANT FOR MEN?
THE RETREAT LOCATION
Our retreats take place in a beautiful home in the South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, 2 miles from the sea. Shared and single bedrooms are available, as well as plots for camping (bring your own camping equipment or we can provide). All food will be provided. A kit list of what to bring will be provided a few weeks before the retreat.
The retreat starts at 3pm on Thursday 9th October and ends at 1pm on Sunday 12th October.
This is an alcohol and drugs free event.

The retreat is designed to help men reconnect with their true selves, explore their personal growth, and tackle challenges related to identity, relationships, and masculinity. You'll engage in deep personal work, group discussions, and physical activities (such as hiking) to unlock your inner strength and gain clarity for the next steps in your life.

You can expect a combination of coaching sessions, group discussions, meditation, physical exercises and plenty of space for reflection. You'll engage in deep work designed to help you break through personal barriers, gain new insights, and leave with tools and strategies to continue your growth.

The retreat lasts for three days and will be held in South Devon, UK, not far from Kingsbridge. The nearest train station is Totnes, about 25 minutes away.
It will start at 3pm on Thursday and end by 1pm on Sunday.

Yes, all meals and accommodations will be provided during the retreat. The food will be nutritious and designed to support your energy and well-being throughout the experience. If you have dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate your needs.
Accommodation is either in solo rooms, shared rooms or camping.

All activities and exercises in our retreats are optional. We encourage people to stretch their boundaries. This is a supportive environment and nothing is compulsory.

Weather dependent, we plan to do cold water immersions in the sea, to go on a SUPs/kayak expedition and walk. If you do not feel confident in the sea or going on 2-3 hour walk, please do contact us to discuss. We encourage all abilities to join in.
